![]() The graphics look amazing and this town of Union is creepy as hell. ![]() The presentation of The Evil Within 2 is just first-class all the way. ![]() There are many different side missions that you can tackle too so there is a lot more content in this game than there was in the first Evil Within. As well as this, you also can find resources that allow you to craft various items that can help you such as healing items, ammo, and so on. The green gel is still at play here and you have a simple skill tree that is split up into different categories such as health and combat for example. Like the first game, you can expand Sebastian in a few different ways. It almost felt a tad too ambitious if I am being honest. You have a handy device that will point you in the right direction in case you get lost, but I found this game made it kind of hard to keep track of where I was supposed to go next. With this game, you have the whole of Union at your fingertips and as a result, the game is probably as close as you can get to being an open-world game without technically being one. The first Evil Within was far more contained. The gameplay in The Evil Within 2 is similar, but expanded on. The story is good, but it just lacks that bit of punch the first game had, even with the connection to Sebastian’s daughter. He ends up going with her and finds out that the machine which caused all the trouble from the first game is being used and his daughter is being used against her will to create a little town called, Union, but something has gone very wrong. While he is getting wasted, he is approached by Juli who now works for Mobius and she informs him that his daughter, Lilly is still alive.
